About this deal

Now here comes the important part. Final delivered something that has all the key qualities of mainstream wireless headphones: comfort, good battery life, and a solid ANC implementation. But how does it sound? And onto the noise-cancelling performance, which is respectable. At this price point it would be much to ask for the performance of the Sony WH-1000XM5, which are thrice the price of the UX3000. Nevertheless, the ANC performance is astute, good at clearing away persistent sounds. With noise cancelling on, it becomes much easier to hear music than with it off. One of the headline features, of course, is active noise cancellation. The UX3000 use what Final calls a hybrid active noise-cancelling system; there is a pair of microphones on each earcup, one taking sound from outside the earcup, the other from the driver inside (the one that outputs the music). These are designed to work together to generate the noise-cancelling signal. The noise cancelling on the UX3000 is pretty effective, and does a fine job on our commute to work, taking trains, the London Underground and the occasional bus comfortably in its stride. The soundstage is pretty special, too, allowing plenty of elbow room and space to breathe for the musicians.

Final’s ANC UX3000 Wireless Headphones Are A Genuine Bargain Final’s ANC UX3000 Wireless Headphones Are A Genuine Bargain

Final has made budget headphones before, models that have impressed us greatly – and the UX3000 are a pretty fabulous-sounding pair of cans. The warmth and musical nature instantly shoot them up the list of one the best pairs to listen to at this price. When it comes to features, there's not much to write home about, and the build quality isn't going to surprise you, either. We like the unique Shibo finish, but we can equally imagine it putting people off. Perhaps most agreeably of all, the UX3000 are notably small and compact by the standards of their peers. Many over-ear headphones like to dominate the wearer’s head, but not these. For one, they’re wireless – Final’s first ever ANC wireless headphone. Number two, they’re affordable, priced below the likes of options from Cleer and Urbanista.

I think the ATH-M50X are too boosted in the low end and are very uncomfortable to wear as to me they are skull crushers. The Bluetooth 5.0 has worked flawlessly during my testing. I didn’t have any connection issues and I found the working range to be about average. Battery Life The headband of the UX3000 can be folded for compact storage, making the headphones easy to carry around. A soft carry pouch is provided with the headphones although I think I would have preferred a hard case for using when traveling on a plane or a train. However, at this price point that might be asking a little too much. The final UX3000 supports Qualcomm's aptX and aptX Low Latency alongside the standard AAC and SBC codecs. The inclusion of aptX Low Latency is handy for those moments when your devices aren't quite playing ball, as the codec uses compression to deliver better stability. Final UX3000 Battery Life So with ANC on you have a really fun, dynamic, engaging and full sounding headphone for on the go use. When you want a bit more clarity and detail you can turn ANC off and have a more linear yet fun and enjoyable sounding headphone.
