He was instantly accepted by Lady Tichborne as her son, although other family members did not believe it, and tried to expose him as an impostor. It's a novel about the life of Hereward the Wake/the Watchful, a knight who lived in eleventh century England. And now, as reviewing time runs out, I need to decide which of the remaining two outstanding reviews will get the snappy treatment. Brat Farrar is the lead character of the novel – yes, it is a name, and an almost wilfully terrible one.
